In this sermon 3 Principles of Marriage, our text makes it clear that Jesus loved and still loves the church (you and me) and gave himself for it and apostle Paul makes it clear that men are to love their wives and give themselves to their wife just as Christ did.
So it is clear that the institution of marriage is the image of the marriage between man and God. Why do you think that Jesus never married during his time on earth? He was in love with you and I and was in pursuit and gave himself for you and I. Why? That just as a man and a woman are to become one flesh, God and man are to become one as well.
