In this sermon The Importance Of Discipleship, it is very important that we understand what it means to be discipled. It isn't until we have continued in the word of God that we become the disciples of the Lord. I would describe being a disciple as the difference between being involved and committed. The disciples of Jesus were committed, they gave up their professions and eventually their lives to follow Jesus. Jesus was committed...it took all of His time and effort over a period of three and a half years to disciple them, to teach them, to train them. I have two words for you tonight: Involved or Committed. Involved people don't sacrifice their money and their lives like the disciples did. There were thousands that were involved with Jesus, but only 120 made it to the upper room. These 120 were the committed. Are you involved tonight, or are you committed?
