Peter, James and John grew to become Jesus’ “inner circle.” They saw this event and were later the same ones who went with Jesus into the Garden of Gethsemane before Jesus was crucified. Perhaps because of this event when they saw His glory, they were stronger than the rest and could go with Jesus during His hard time in the Garden.
