Recommissioned
In this sermon Recommissioned, We cannot change the message – the message must change us. When a ship is commissioned they call it a “Christening.” It is customary for the Admiral or dignitary to take a bottle of wine and break it across the bow of the ship. As they speak the ships name for the first time as it goes down into the water. The ship is then deemed ready for active service. We have been christened – we have been christened as the New Wine of the Holy Ghost washed over the bow of our lives. His name was spoken over us for the first time as we went down in the waters of baptism. We are ready for active service. Jesus is calling us to be recommissioned.
