What can a man named Jonah, vomited out of a whale’s belly, preach to us from across the centuries? Latter-Day Jonah's tells us Jonah was a true prophet of God. Jonah loved God, and he loved Israel with all of his heart! He was a patriot true and devoted to God’s people. When God called Jonah to go and preach to the very people that God would use to devastate His own chosen Israel, he was willing to lay down his life for his friends. He was willing to lose his calling, his anointing, forsake his office as a prophet, and perhaps even lose his own soul . Because he loved God’s people so much, and because he wanted Israel to inherit the promises made to his forefathers, and because he wanted Israel to be saved.
