In this sermon Good Works is Christian Fruit, we should not become fanatics of good works to ensure our salvation. We should simply do them because that was God’s plan for us after salvation. In the Christian realm, we all desire to be profitable and productive. We want to know as much of God’s Word as possible. We want to have the gifts of the spirit and the fruit of the Spirit. In all of these noble and profitable pursuits, we can easily overlook obvious natural duties. The Bible has been prepared that we might perform good works. Jesus intended that the people should notice us by our good works! The fruitful Christian is not measured by a spiritual yardstick! Spiritual positions measure spiritual maturity. However, fruitfulness for a Christian is measured by their immediate benefit! It is not what you know, but how you know.
