In this lesson, Achan vs. Rahab, we learn, God is merciful to those who do not deserve it. He will allow His great grace to shine into anyone’s heart who is hungry, open, and willing.  So the question is, why did God show mercy to a harlot and allow her to be saved and joined to his family. While one who was already in the family, made a bad choice and was dealt with so harshly? God will tolerate more from one who has not known, seen or heard what so many of us have. It is better to have never known, then to know and forsake it. We who have known, will have no excuses when we stand before God and he questions our change of behavior, conversations, lifestyles and manners.
