Mary, the mother of Jesus, was surprised, scared, and humbled when she was chosen by God. Chosen, to bear the Savior of the world. Favor with God will sometimes propel us to places that we ordinarily might not want to go. Mary had favor with God, but it was going to put her in a very precarious position. But with that favor of God, there is a presence of the grace of God. There is something about the grace of God that literally takes the common and makes it uncommon. Whatever you do, don’t miss the music of God’s grace in the work of lives that have frayed edges and difficult times.
