To Galilee

Mark 16:3-4 (KJV)

3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

Who Will Roll the Stone Away for Us?

Have you ever asked yourself that question? Every day, we face obstacles of different shapes and sizes. What we ignore is that God is already at it, and has maybe already done it. There’s no need to worry. Your perspective changes when you change what you see. Maybe you haven’t found anything yet, because you’re looking in the wrong places. The Bible says when they looked up, they realized the stone was already rolled away.

Secondly, the women were looking for the right person at the wrong place. “Do not be alarmed…” He’s not among the dead, He’s risen! These women were busy trying to take care of a dead Jesus, but Jesus wasn’t there. The question is: “Has Jesus rose in your life?”

Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV) And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

God doesn’t play hide and seek. He promised us in His word that if we seek Him, we’re going to find Him.

Deuteronomy 4:29 (KJV) But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Another thing we need to mention here is the commitment of the two women. They knew they didn’t have the strength to roll away the stone, yet they didn’t sit at home crying and complaining, they went to the tomb so that they could find Jesus.

They took their first step without knowing what would happen next; that’s what faith is.

Are you committed to finding Jesus? Don’t limit yourself to just words, take action and show your faith; I assure you that it won’t be done in vain.

James 2:26 (KJV) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

To Galilee

Mark 16:7 (KJV) But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

The women were told to go to Galilee. Jesus is giving them a message, saying, “I’ll precede you over there.” Now, check this out. Galilee isn’t some random place. That’s where it all began and now Jesus says, “Let’s meet over there.” Jesus is offering to the disciples a new beginning. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done in the past. No matter how terrible it was, Jesus Is saying, “To Galilee…”

This is a message of forgiveness and restoration. We’ve all got some good news coming from God Himself. Hear his still small voice calling out your name and saying, “Hey buddy, to Galilee…”

Maybe you’re sitting in your chair right now thinking, “I’ve denied Jesus; I’m condemned.” You need to realize that we’ve all denied Jesus is so many ways; we’re all sinners.

To Galilee. Look up, the stone has been rolled away. Cheer up, leave that heavy life of guilt and take it up to the cross.
