Just Do It Again

1 Kings 17:8-16

8 And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,

9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

12 And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

14 For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.

15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.

Nike’s marketing campaign is “Just Do It.”

Don’t worry about what it will cost, just do it.

If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it!

If it worked once, it will work again!

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

God is constant! He never changes; He is always the same! So if there is something wrong, or something has changed, it cannot be God, and can only be us!

We are the variable in the formula with the Lord!

Obedience is the first key to having a miracle take place in your life!

The most critical point in the whole story is when she went to make the second cake for her and her son. To have a miracle in your life, all you need to do is just do it again!

How many have you received the Holy Ghost?

The greatest miracle in your life is when you received the Holy Ghost!

What was it that you did when you received the Holy Ghost?

  1. Repented – You admitted to God that you are a sinner, confessed your sins, asked for forgiveness, and committed to turning away from your old habits.
  2. Baptized in His name – You obeyed what the scriptures instruct us to do, by being baptized in the name of Jesus and were fully submerged in water.
  3. Holy Ghost – You opened your heart and mind up to the Lord and committed yourself to His work, in which he filled you with His spirit, that now lives with you and helps you through your life as a Christian.

Do You Need a Miracle Tonight?

Just Do It Again!

2 Kings 4:1-7

1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.

5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.

6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.

1. She was first required to accept the fact that there was nothing she could do about the situation.

2. She approached the man of God by saying “we have been faithful and now it is time for God to be faithful to us.”

3. What Elisha told her to do was very unusual.

7 Steps Of Faith

  1. Go – Leave where you are at right now.
  2. Borrow – Obedience to even what seems absurd in human thinking.
  3. Borrow not a few – Let your faith run wild.
  4. Shut the door – Put fear, doubt, unbelief out of your mind and set your heart in what you are doing.
  5. Pour out of the oil into the containers – Put works with your faith.
  6. Set aside – Never quit until you have completely what you need.
  7. Sell – Finish the miracle in your own life

Each time the pot got full, she just had to do it again to another pot!

Acts 3:1-8

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

The 3 Keys To Receiving What You Need:

1. Understand there is nothing you can do about the situation.

2. Come in childlike faith and trust in God.

3. Just do what you did when you got the Holy Ghost; Believe And Receive!
