You’re Not Dry Enough Yet!

A drought means a long period of abnormally low rainfall, especially one that adversely affects growing or living conditions. A prolonged dearth or shortage. Does this sound like something you are going through?

I see, throughout the country, churches that are drying up; place where there hasn’t been any spiritual rainfall for years. Pastors and church members are leaving their churches and looking for a place where the spirit is moving, but the problem lies in a lack of involvement in soul winning, prayer, and fasting in the church.

God will not move where people don’t seek Him. He won’t move among carnality. He won’t move where there is disobedience.

In the Spirit, a drought means a time when you feel spiritually dead; unable to function in anyway. (That is caused from lack of fellowship with God.) A time when you feel like you can’t get a word from God when it seems everything you try just runs dry and you feel like you are going to die. But listen, I have a word for you; you are not going to die, but this night, God is going to resurrect you and put within you power to overcome your dilemma (if that is what you desire.)

You need to understand you are strong and not weak, you are not defeated, but you are an overcomer. All these promises of God come with a stipulation. (God says If you will, I will)

Leviticus 26:1-10

1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.

2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.

3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

It’s when you have had the best fight and won; It is then that you seem the driest. Even though you defeated your enemy; you are weak. The battle took so much out of you.

Judges 15:18-19

18 And he was sore athirst, and called on the Lord, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?

19 But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day.

When your enemy is standing before you, threatening your life, making false accusations, and you feel like everything you have done before God is about to dry up; call on God for strength.

2 Chronicles 32:10-11

10 Thus saith Sennacherib king of Assyria, Whereon do ye trust, that ye abide in the siege in Jerusalem?

11 Doth not Hezekiah persuade you to give over yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The Lord our God shall deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Here, the enemy has Jerusalem surrounded. He is trying to scare the people and turn them against King Hezekiah and it seems to be working, but watch what God does to the King’s enemy.

2 Chronicles 32:16-22

16 And his servants spake yet more against the Lord God, and against his servant Hezekiah.

17 He wrote also letters to rail on the Lord God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.

18 Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews’ speech unto the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to affright them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.

19 And they spake against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, which were the work of the hands of man.

20 And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.

21 And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.

22 Thus the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.

God turned the King of Assyria’s family against him. When it seems like you are about to be defeated; you need to cry to heaven and see the hand of God move in your life like never before.?Here is what God wants to do for his people:

Nehemiah 9:20-22

20 Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.

21 Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.

22 Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.

Sometimes we have to get dry and near death before we look up to where our help comes from.

Then there are those that try to make it on their own and they die in their dilemma’s?

Psalm 121:1-3

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

When we are dry we panic; we look everywhere but up when our only hope comes from above. Not from man, but from God!?My God, I can feel some of you are in Panic mode right now, ready to run, ready to look elsewhere for a drink.? But I say unto you by the word of the Lord; Look up, for your answer will come from God.? God called Ezekiel in Chapter thirty-seven and showed him the whole house of Israel, it was dry and it was dead; but listen to what God tells the man of God to do.

Ezekiel 37:1-9

37 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.

4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

5 Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

It doesn’t matter how dead and dry it gets, God can take use a man to prophesy and it will come to pass.

I think the problem today is that men of God limit themselves to just preaching to make people shout or to feel good, but God has called the ministry to Prophesy that things may live and not die.

Ezekiel 37:10-12

10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

This is how God saw them: dead and dry, no life in them, but they were his people and he raised them up by a man of God that spoke what God told him to speak.

There is a prophesy in this house tonight and someone who felt dead is going to come to life and the Spirit of the Lord is going to move in your life.

I am going to do exactly what Ezekiel did, I am going to speak life in this house tonight and we are never going to be the same.
