If Loving Him Is Wrong, I’m Going To Love Him Anyway

1 John 4:19

To truly love Jesus means a life of sacrifice, commitment, and dedication. People will say all manners of things about you and to you as you love him.

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

If it is wrong to love him, I am going to love him anyway.

A. He has transformed us: transform (change condition, change one’s form)

1Co 6:9-11 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  (11)  And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Rom 12:2.  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

B. He has made a nobody into a somebody.

1Pe 2:9-10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:  (10) Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Rom 9:25-26 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.  (26)  And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

C. He has given us joy.

1Pe 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

1Pe 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Neh 8:10  Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Acts 3:2-9 When the Lord touches you, you will never be the same.

D. He has given us peace.

Phi 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Luke 8:26-35    A wild man put in his right mind.

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

 

Heb. 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Most of all he has given us salvation;

Mat 1:21.  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Heb 2:10  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Salvation includes not only deliverance from foes and from death, and the grant of temporal blessings (which the law promised to the obedient), but also grace of the Spirit, forgiveness of sins, and the promise of heaven, glory, and eternal life.

We don’t have to fear because of his goodness.

1Jo 4:18-19 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (19) We love him, because he first loved us.

Will you give your life to Jesus, repent, be baptized in the Names of Jesus, receive the Holy ghost and live a Holy, Godly life for the Lord?
