In this lesson, Whose Likeness Do We Bear,  God made man in His image according to Genesis 1:26-27. He gave man dominion over the earth and told man to subdue the earth. He gave man power to rule in earth as God ruled in Heaven. Man would not imitate God, but rather, be the vehicle through which God would work in the physical realm, what He did in the spiritual realm. Man was made to actually allow God's Spirit put within him to work and live through him. God would do through man, with man, in the earth what He did in Heaven. Someone who loves with a pure heart, is someone who is born of incorruptible seed. It would give life, more abundantly,  increasing in our lives!
