In this sermon Who Is The Red Heifer, we learn that red means death. The death was the DEATH OF CHRIST. A HEIFER means female. The Church is always called a FEMALE, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST. THE CHURCH is people who DIED WITH CHRIST.  The old life is dead. Ashes from the dead red heifer in water that is sprinkled refers to the same thing the sprinkling of Jesus' blood refers to teaching your spirit the truths of the cross.
