In this sermon The Tongue and the Church,  we learn of two types of tongues. One that speaks truth, and one that speaks lies. The tongue can "bless or curse", "praise or slander", and  "encourage or poison". Our tongue can destroy. We cannot be any closer to God than we are to the person I love the least. It's no wonder that the Lord chose the tongue to yield to the Holy Ghost. If you can tame the tongue, you have complete control.
