In this sermon The Hungry Soul, Every man woman and child have a inner longing – there is a knowing in every soul that there is a God and I want to interact with him, ; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet. That’s why folks are chasing the junk of this world, Drugs, alcohol, porn –the party scene- adultery. They are Looking for things that will temporarily satisfy. There is a hunger for God that has to be cultivated. Look at the difference between David and Saul!  There is only one reference to Saul ever worshipping-But dozens about David worshiping. Saul never went after the Ark of the covenant- But David Couldn’t wait –David was hungry for the spirit – Saul was hungry for position and political presence!  One is in love with the palace the other is in love with God’s power!
