In this sermon The Fight Of Your Life, it's crucial to understand what to do when we're wounded and weary. There is one particular Scripture that brings more light to exactly what we are to do.

James 4:7   – “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

The Greek word for “resist” is ANTHISTEMI.  In this verse the indication is that means that we are not to resist for a while and then rest.  It is an absolute command to solidify or fix a position, to set yourself against, and continually oppose the enemy.  No allowance is made for slacking off.

You must fight with your eyes open.
