In this lesson Slip the Surly Sights of Simeon,  we learn there was no great prophecy about Simeon’s demise. No one even mentions Simeons’s name. When Simeon was born, his mother,  gives him a name that reflects his origin and his place in the world. Genesis 29:33 (KJV) And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the Lord hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon. Sometimes we allow the listeners to take their place in the middle of the worshipers. We allow Simeon to have their little territory in the middle of Judah. But God’s plan isn’t for Simeon to be by himself. Simeon’s brothers may have forgotten him in the Egyptian jail, but God never did. in this sermon Slip the Surly Sights of Simeon, God made sure that Simeon was restored to his brothers.
