Weightlifters can lift to a certain point but they are overcome by the weight after that point. Death overcomes our old lives. We are afraid of death so we do not sacrifice because it ends our life. But Jesus promised the new life can not be held by the grave. Resurrection can only occur if a new life is given to one who dies, that is greater than the death that killed it.
