In this sermon God Concept, we read the well-known story of the Israelites as they are sent out to spy the Land of Canaan. They went to evaluate their enemy, to size up the competition whether they be strong or weak, few or many. As we read, we see most often that their opinion of themselves is small. They could not do the task laid before them. However, there is another concept here, which is their concept of God.  By their lack of faith, their concept of God was that God is not big enough. These men were the very ones who were not allowed to see the Promised Land. They were forced to wander in the wilderness. As your concept of God grows more spiritual and positive, it molds and changes all other conceptions in our lives.
