In this sermon Getting Beyond The Bitter To Get To The Better, our praise is more potent than our predicament. His majesty is mightier than our mess. His glory is greater than our grief. If you've ever eaten a warhead, you know they are extremely sour. The immediate response of some is spit out the candy as soon as they get it in their mouths. There are contests to see if you can keep a normal face while in initial phase of warhead consumption. However, if you can make it through the torment of initial taste, the sour becomes sweet.  If you can get beyond the bitter, you get to the better. We are not exempt from trouble and troublesome times. Nowhere in the Bible does it claim, "because thou believest in God, thou shalt not have bitter times". However, time and time again, it is our response to the bitter that allows us access to the better. Getting through bitter times is not going to be accomplished without prayer. In every thing give thanks.....praise! Getting beyond the bitter to get to the better.
