And the Hebrew word for ALMOND actually enhances the idea that God is trying to show us about light. Almond in Hebrew comes from a word which means not asleep, wakeful, and watchful. It means alert. It enhances the idea of LIGHT because LIGHT helps us to WATCH. To see if we're watchful, in a dark world we're going to carry LIGHT around with us. If you want to be watchful and alert you will shine light forth. We need light in order to be watchful. So many people don't care about whether or not there is a God.
