In this sermon Four Challenging Positions of Faith, it is important to remember that Jesus Christ gives us the resources to handle the positions of pain in life. When your faith is challenged by circumstances that bring pain into your life, God has provided us with His Spirit – the Comforter – to enable us to endure and overcome the frustrations we are faced with!

  To be sure, the Church does not really have a mission. It is God’s mission in the world that has the church! God is already active in the world. He will not be without a witness. The Gospel is a work in the world today. The job of the Church is to discover and recognize the work of God that is already going on in the world! God’s mission in the world is to save the world. That is the business we are in – the world-saving, world-shaking, world-shaping, world-making business!
