At The End of The Rope
In this sermon At The End of The Rope, throughout history, we find men and women at the end of their rope with no hope. It seems the harder they tried, in the end, it appeared they would be denied. In the battle for right, it seemed in the end that the wicked would in fact be the victor. The thing that we must strive to understand is God is the one with the pen writing the final chapters of our lives. He is the one with the parchment and our promise. He is the only one that can make all the characters and places in our stories have a purpose. A book is not complete and the story line is not finished until the author sends it out for publication. Until then, it is a rough draft, a working copy, a story in progress. Your plot is not a story, but a grave. You may feel like you're enslaved to your circumstance, and even hear the taskmaster screaming at you to hurry up with your load of bricks. You may relate with David wondering if you will even survive your lunatic enemy. The "Storyteller" is not going to let you be a dangling participle in the masterpiece he has planned for you.
