In this sermon A Matter of the Heart: A Pure Heart, There's something precious about a person’s relationship with God. They are not perfect. They don’t do exponential things for the Kingdom. But their heart is close to God. They are able to keep most of the junk out of their life not because of some great faith, but simply because they have a right heart with Him. Matthew 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. Lip service won’t cut it. It’s going to take a genuine coming to Jesus meeting with your own heart. You won’t find it hard at all to tell someone you forgive them if it’s what’s in your heart.Reluctant forgiveness is not forgiveness. Reluctant giving is not giving, reluctant love is not love, reluctant anything is nothing. So if you are reluctant in your heart, check your heart because the heart does not hesitate. The heart does not second guess. The heart loves and acts and gives and forgives and does things no one else would ever do because it’s the heart.And when the heart is right. So much more of life is right. When your heart is right your relationship with God is right. When your heart is right your relationship with your spouse is right. When your heart is right your relationship with everyone else can be right.Will it be perfect?
