Pull Together for the Kingdom is a call to action for every leader in the church. In ministry, there will be seasons when the weight feels heavy, the vision is big, the challenges are real, and the obstacles seem unmovable. In those moments, the temptation is for each person to strain in their own direction or to wait for someone else to do the heavy lifting. But the truth is, when God calls us to a work, He calls us to pull together.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 says, “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow.” Ministry is not a solo sport; it’s a team effort.
When a church leadership team decides to pull together for the Kingdom, the power of unity changes everything. Praying together, serving together, and encouraging each other becomes the fuel that moves the mission forward. But if each leader pulls in a different direction, the church stalls, the vision blurs, and the load gets heavier for everyone.
In a tug-of-war, you can’t have one person pulling hard while another is letting go of the rope. It takes everyone leaning in, gripping tight, and giving their all.
In the same way, leadership requires every member to be fully committed to:
If we want to pull together for the Kingdom, we must be intentional about guarding against division, distraction, and discouragement.
When we pull together for the Kingdom, momentum builds. The church moves forward, ministries grow stronger, and lives are impacted for eternity.
Psalm 133:1 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” The enemy will do anything to divide a church leadership team because he knows a united group of Spirit-filled leaders is unstoppable.
Unity doesn’t mean we’ll always agree on every detail. It means we choose to love, forgive, and support each other even when it’s hard — because the mission matters more than personal preference. The more we pull together for the Kingdom, the less ground the enemy has to work with.
Pastor, as you lead your team, remind them: This isn’t just about filling positions or running programs. This is about eternity. Souls are at stake. Communities are waiting to see the love of Jesus in action. And that will happen most effectively when we pull together for the Kingdom.
So grab the rope. Lean in. Pray for each other. Show up for each other. And let’s move forward — together — until the Kingdom work is done.
