They That Sow In Tears

Psa 126:1

1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

In our text, the metaphor seems to be this: A poor farmer has had a very bad harvest: a very scanty portion of grain and food has been gathered from the earth. The seed time is now come, and is very unpromising. Out of the famine a little seed has been saved to be sown, in hopes of another crop; but the badness of the present season almost precludes the entertainment of hope. Though the sowing of seed is a work of labor and sorrow, often a work so burdening to the farmer that he weeps – But he must sow, or else despair and perish. He carries his all, his precious seed, with him in his seed basket; and with a sorrowful heart commits it to the ground, watering it in effect with his tears, and earnestly imploring the blessing of God upon it. And yet when the return – the harvest has come, it is accompanied with rejoicing.

Thus it is in respect to the toil of the farmer; the cares and anxieties of the student; the work of salvation to a repented soul; the labors of the Apostolic pastor; the efforts of the Sunday school teacher; the faithfulness of the godly parents; the endeavors of a church for a revival that they that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

If you plant while you cry, you will rejoice while you harvest

If you cry while you are planting out the seed, you will come back carrying bundles of grain.

If you give til it hurts, you will reap till it feels good. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

You must not allow the weeping process to hinder you from planting the seed because if you do, you will never reap the harvest of joy for your life.

People like Job, David, Naomi, Joseph, each of them had a harvest of joy after the seed of sorrow had been planted. They all went through their time of sorrow, but God turned it around for them and blessed them on the other side of it. If God will bring you to it, he will take you thru it.

I know it may be painful

§ Hard

§ Difficult

I know you fell like giving up or giving in

I know you fell like fainting

But if you don’t faint in the day of adversity, God will establish you

If you fell like you have a little strength,

You are ready to faint

Just call on his name and he will give you strength. The bible says

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

You can’t faint now / you don’t have time to faint now,

because you are about to reap what you have been (Crying) weeping for,

look at you neighbor and say God is ready to establish you

Establish means to set in a secure condition or position

To cause to be recognized and accepted

JER 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

God is ready to settle you in keep you secure you

put something permanent in your life

I know that there has been adversity in your life but

You have cried too much to faint

Prayed pressed sowed

Keep fighting the good fight of faith and God will establish you

There is a point in the fight where God will turn it around.

Even if you feel like the battle is over

Even if you feel like there is no way to win

Just wait on the Lord and be of good courage and let the tear run down your face because they that sow in tears are irrigating their dreams

They that sow in tears,

· let them water your desires

· Your expectations

· Your visions

for they shall bring forth a harvest of joy.

And when people who have been bound, held captive for a long time, when they have been released, they will begin to celebrate.

Some of you, when you see that you are no longer on the losing side, no longer defeated, and see yourself on the winners edge, you see yourself victorious, you begin to have a celebration.

Don’t wait till the battle is over, you can shout right now.

Some of you right now are on the verge of your victory

And you are celebrating right now because you see the indication of the victory.

It an indication that God’s getting ready to turn this thing around.

But what is victory

Victory is the prize given to the person who emerges out of the battle as the champion.

So in order for you to go from

· warrior to champion

· Warfare to victory

· Runner to winner

at some point in the fight or in the race, something has got to begin to turn around in you favor.

There is, some point in the battle, you must get the upper hand.

At some point in the race you must get out front or you can’t get the victory.

There is some thing that kicks in and its call a second wind.

SECOND WIND

A strength that’s on reserve that you didn’t know was on reserve

It’s a supernatural wind, a supernatural breath

It’s a tenacious perseverance breath of God that blows into you situation

And when it does, all of a sudden,

Just when you think

· you’re out

· you’re down for the count

· its about over,

you realize you are now fighting again. WHY? Cause you got your strength back

I’m in the race again, WHY? Cause I got my strength back

My joy is back

My peace is back

and it all came back in a second wind.

The first wind, I believe is when God breathe the breath of life in us ( when the day of Pentecost was……………….)

Verse 2 of our text: Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing:

The same mouth that spoke out of agony

Pain abuse from their captors now open their mouth and begin to shout for joy

I DARE SOMEBODY TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH RIGHT NOW AND SHOUT WITH A VOICE OF TRIUMPH

SHOUT FOR THE VICTORY shout it now shout it out right now…

Psa 47:1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

SHOUT

Psa 32:11 Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

And while you are dong that, God is healing you from

the abuse of the critics

the slavery of sin

bitterness and disappointment of life

PRAISE GOD WITH A SHOUT.

Just when the devil thought he had you, God will send you a turn a round

When you thought that you will never__________________________

God said, if you sow in tears, I will give you joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Ending and altar call

The fight has never been about you

The race has never been about you.

It was all about your dream (seed YOU have planted) this is what the enemy want to destroy

But the devil is sooo stupid, because he should have never made you cry.

Because the more you cry, the more you shed tears over it, the more you water it, and the more you water it , the more it grows

The enemy has told you over and over you will never______________.

But my God said, if I sow in tears, he will turn around for you

My God tells me, if you so in tears, you shall reap what you desire.
