In Lesson 1 of a 3 part series we talk about The Life of Jesus. To understand who Jesus is and what He accomplished, we must study His life, His teachings, His person and His work. Jesus ministry began after being baptized by John the Baptist. He was fulfilling Scripture and showing that he was not above doing what was needful. John saw the Spirit of the LORD descending on Him like a dove, which gave John the revelation of who Jesus was at that moment. Jesus ministry also began with fulfilling the Scripture. We also begin our ministry by fulfilling the Scripture. Repentance from sin and Baptism in Jesus name, is the beginning of a life of Jesus Christ. For us to be ministers of Jesus Christ, we must follow the example he laid down before he began His ministry. Jesus wants us all to be ministers, which means, people involved in ministry. Ministry is not preaching or teaching only, but it's reaching out to the broken hearted, the widows, the sinners, the sick and hurting. The Life of Jesus is the perfect example to follow. Sometimes there has to be a proving ground, just like Jesus went through. Jesus was a person that lived like us, loved unconditionally, and was truly Deity.
